Exell Plumbing Services Pty Ltd (“Exell”) is an Australian Privacy Principle (“APP”) entity* and is therefore subject to the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) (“the Act”).

Why Exell collects personal information

Exell collects personal information for the purposes of Exell’s functions and activities. As a provider of plumbing, drainage and gas fitting services, Exell collects personal information from clients who have dealings with Exell for administrative need or to conduct its business.

What personal information Exell may collect

Exell may collect the following types of personal information from clients:

  • residence and contact details
  • information about the goods or services that clients have ordered
  • information from enquiries that clients, or potential clients, have made
  • email communications and other correspondence
  • credit card information

Use of personal information

Exell uses personal information to provide its services to clients.

Exell will not provide a client’s information to third parties, except for:

  • Exell’s business partners who may be contracted to assist in the provision of services to clients; or
  • if permitted or required by law, or
  • otherwise with the client’s consent.

Exell will never disclose client information overseas.

How Exell collects and holds personal information

Where reasonably possible, Exell will only collect information from the individual to whom it relates. This information may be collected from email, letters or other forms of communication.

The Exell website may contain links to other websites. Exell cannot control the privacy controls of third-party websites as they are not subject to Exell’s Privacy Policy.

Access to personal information

A client may access their personal information that Exell holds about them. A client also has the right to request personal information that Exell holds about them to be corrected in the event of an error, by contacting Exell's Owner and Director (contact details are at the end of this Policy).

Policy Review

Exell will review and may amend this Policy from time to time to ensure currency with respect to relevant legislation and to improve the general effectiveness and operation of the Policy.
